The Big Nature Package allows you to experience 3 Rainforestation attractions: Army Duck, Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience and Koala & Wildlife Park. Board an amphibious World War II Army Duck for a unique rainforest tour on both land and water, where your guide will identify and explain fascinating plants and wildlife as you pass by. Then meander through the Tropical Fruits Orchard, with over 40 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees. Learn about the indigenous culture with the interactive Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience. Watch a traditional dance performance in a rainforest amphitheatre, then join the Dreamtime Walk which includes boomerang throwing, spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing. Enhance your Indigenous Experience with the Pamagirri Rainforest Walkabout. Join your guide as he shares his personal insight into his culture and learn about traditions, totems, rainforest survival and more. The Koala and Wildlife Park has native Australian species such as crocodiles, wombats, dingoes, snakes, lizards, and cassowary. Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies and meet the only Tasmanian Devils in Tropical North Queensland.

  • Location: Rainforestation Nature Park is located on the Kennedy Highway, just outside Kuranda - about a 35-minute drive from Cairns.
  • All-Weather Attraction: Rainforestation is an all-weather park with rainforest tours, cultural experiences and wildlife interactions included.
  • Free On-Site Parking: Available for visitors. Car park is locked overnight.
  • Accessibility: The park is fully accessible with ramps, accessible toilets and Army Duck boarding support.
  • Shuttle Bus Service: Paid shuttle bus runs between Rainforestation and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda Village (times designed to align with tours).
  • Lunch & Refreshments: CafĂ© open daily from 9 am - 3 pm with lunch options available between 10 am - 2 pm.
